Girona was founded by the Romans and some of the walls still are present. The “El Call” which was the Jewish section has winding cobblestone streets and is fun to get lost in. The cathedral houses much Romanesque art to enjoy.

Head down to the coast for more good times. The Costa Brava or the Brave Coast has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Each beach is paired with a little mountain village that overlooks the sea. The beaches of Girona and the Costa Brava have many hotels and make for a perfect summer holiday.
Girona and the Costa Brava are just one hour north of Barcelona and you can take a train or bus from the city or fly direct to Girona with low cost airlines such as Ryanair.
